The application of AES offers numerous opportunities for English teachers, such as reducing
grading workload, providing instant feedback, supporting student self-revision, and enhancing learner
autonomy. The paper synthesizes recent international research on the functions, effectiveness, and
limitations of AES tools and analyzes their impact on teacher roles and the overall quality of writing
instruction. Based on these insights, the author proposes an integrated approach that positions AI as a
supportive tool rather than a replacement for human teachers. The article concludes by emphasizing the
need for clear guidelines, professional training, and institutional support to ensure that the implementation
