Tóm tắt

The Omotenashi culture is regarded as a distinctive embodiment of Japanese hospitality,
characterized by sincerity, subtlety, and the ability to understand the needs of others. It is not only a
behavioral norm in society and service but also a profound humanistic cultural value. This study employs
the document analysis method to clarify the concept and characteristics of Omotenashi, while examining
its relationship with the development of soft skills—an increasingly essential factor for students at Dong
Nai Technology University in the context of global integration. The findings indicate that Omotenashi
can foster the development of several key soft skills such as communication, teamwork, emotional
management, and professional work style. Based on these findings, the study proposes several practical
lessons for students, including cultivating thoughtfulness, a sense of responsibility, and respect for others
in both academic and professional contexts. The application of Omotenashi values is expected to help
students enhance their global competence, comprehensively develop soft skills, and build a positive selfimage in modern society.
