USING ONLINE GAMES TO ENHANCE VOCABULARY LEARNING AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study explores the effectiveness of using online games to teach English vocabulary to
primary school students. The research investigates how game-based learning platforms increase student
motivation, engagement, and retention of new words. A quasi-experimental design was implemented with
60 students divided into control and experimental groups. The results revealed that students who learned
vocabulary through online games achieved higher post-test scores and showed greater enthusiasm in
class compared to those taught through traditional methods. The findings suggest that integrating online
games into vocabulary lessons can significantly enhance learning outcomes and student attitudes toward
English.
