In today’s globalized world, foreign language teaching must be connected with the interactive real situations. One of the biggest challenges for language teachers is to use communicative teaching methods in their language teaching process effectively. The worldwide demand for English has created an enormous demand for quality language teaching in which students are given a proper foundation of communication skills that are demanded in different interactive real-world situations outside of the classroom. Students need to be prepared for real-life scenarios instead of just helping them to pass a superficial paper exam. This article aims to provide an overview of communicative language teaching methods and encourage teachers to apply them to their foreign language teaching.
