In this article, I present the current status of information technology application in higher education institutions. On that basis, I propose some overall steps to improve the efficiency of digital transformation for higher education institutions in general. Thereby, speed up the process, bringing high efficiency of digital transformation, overall and comprehensive change in the way of working, operation management, training management of educational institutions based on digital technology.
