Mathematics is closely related and has wide applications in many different fields of life and social. Therefore, the research and development of modeling in teaching Mathematics is very necessary and must be done right from the primary school level. The article presents some basic theoretical issues on mathematical modeling and then proposes the process of designing situations using mathematical modeling in teaching Mathematics. At the same time, illustrate the process given through an illustrative case in teaching the topic calculations for natural numbers in Grade 2.
