This research focuses on the application of the Engo software in teaching non-major English to university students, specifically at Tien Giang University. Engo is a new educational technology application on the Reallyenglish platform in Vietnam, under the management of the Vietnam Consulting Group (VCG). It provides unique opportunities to enhance students’ language skills and optimize the self-learning process. Seventy-seven third-year students participated in survey, observation, and interview, with the majority agreeing that the Engo software helps improve not only language skills but also the spirit of self-directed learning. Some advantages and disadvantages of the program are also discussed within the scope of this article.
