Today, the world is rapidly transforming with the development of technology. To stay up to date, students majoring in information technology need to learn English well to be able to follow, update and contribute to new developments in their field.

In this article, the author briefly stated the role of English for students majoring in information technology, the current basic situation of the school and especially shared innovations in teaching and learning methods. learning English as well as the challenges and solutions implemented at the school to well fulfill the mission of a Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communications Technology.
