History has left us with some fairly basic concepts about artistic language. Seeing the process of developing prose language in literary history, we clearly see a change in linguistic perspective. The changing vision of language also places language in a process of constant change. The article overviews the development of prose language in the history of Vietnamese literature and introduces some typical prose language styles.
