Protecting intellectual property rights against appropriate quotations from the published work at higher education institutions in Vietnam

Abstract

Although each university has specific regulations on quotations in scientific research, however, violations on this issue are increasing, negatively affecting the quality of higher education. The article presents and analyses legal provisions on appropriate quotations from the published work and the actual application of these provisions in scientific research activities at higher education institutions in Vietnam currently; thereby, proposing some recommendations to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement on protection of intellectual property rights.
