Abstract

V.I. Lenin's thought on the secular state emphasizes the principle of separation between state and religion, a core content in the theoretical system of Marxism-Leninism. This viewpoint not only affirms the role of the state in ensuring freedom of belief but also promotes the method of ideological struggle through propaganda, education, and persuasion, rather than administrative imposition. The application of this ideology in teaching philosophy at military academies and officer schools today has practical significance, contributing to raising political awareness, developing critical thinking, and strengthening the mettle of cadres and trainees, building a contingent of military cadres with firm ideological standing, meeting the requirements of the cause of national defense in the new situation.
