Abstract

Ensuring material availability and minimizing construction waste are two important aspects of implementing construction projects that improve project performance and sustainability. This study aims to identify and rank materials management activities through the EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis) method. Through reference to previous studies along with references from experts with many years of experience in the field of materials management and construction. The study has synthesized 35 material management factors that affect the efficiency of the material supply process. The survey was conducted through questionnaires, resulting in 186 valid votes, and data analysis was conducted. Data analysis results have shown the main groups of factors in materials management activities, specifically: material quality assurance, supply planning, material control, material procurement, and material management; In which 5 material management activities are considered important that affect the efficiency of the material supply process including Establishing material supply schedules; Evaluate and select material suppliers that are reliable and consistent with project requirements; Detailed planning of material needs, including quantity and timing; There is a warehouse to preserve materials; Carry out the process of preserving materials immediately after receiving them to ensure quality and avoid loss.
