Abstract
Nowadays, NonDestructive Testing (NDT) is commonly used in the assessment and identification of defects as well as properties of materials. This study focuses on the use of concrete ultrasonic machines to determine the thickness of asphalt pavement layers at the site. The result is based on 3 different gradations of asphalt concrete C12.5, with a thicknesses vary from 5 to 7cm. The results of the study proposed the correlation model between the residual porosity, aggregate porosity, Masshal stability, Masshal plasticity index of the asphalt concrete and ultrasonic frequency from the device Matest Ultrasonic with the thickness of the asphalt concrete layer.
