Abstract
This paper presents the numerial simulation study using the finite element method to determine the shear behavior of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) concrete beam strengthed with textile reinforced concrete (TRC). Failure modes, displacement – force curve, strain – force curve in GFRP longitudinal reinforcement obtained from numerical simulation results is compared with experimental results. The results show that textile reinforced concrete is highly effective in strengthening the shear capacity of polymer composite reinforced concrete beams. Besides, TRC strengthening method affecting to shear behavior of GFRP beam strengthed with TRC were also investigated.
