Assess the current status and propose solutions to reduce the risk of air pollution for construction machinery in civil construction investment projects
Abstract
Minimizing the environmental impacts is a challenging task to achieve sustainability in construction projects. Although the construction process is only temporary, the environmental burdens of construction activities can have a great impact on the environment and communities, and must be properly assessed and mitigated. Construction activities, construction sites and the type and operation time of machinery and off-road plants are among the main causes of air pollution at projects. In Vietnam, old and outdated construction machinery is reused in projects quite commonly without specific regulations in state legal documents. The article evaluates the current status and proposes solutions to reduce the risk of air pollution caused by construction machinery in civil construction investment projects.
