Abstract

In the context of sustainable development becoming an imperative for socio-economic strategies, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standard serve as an effective instrument for assessing and enhancing the sustainability performance of enterprises. For the construction industry, which has a significant impact on the environment and community, the implementation of ESG is increasingly urgent. Adopting ESG principles not only contributes mitigate environmental and social risks but also enhances a company's competitiveness and investment attractiveness. This paper analyzes the current state of ESG implementation in prominent construction enterprises in Vietnam, thereby identifying key challenges and proposing recommendations to promote effective ESG implementation towards the goal of sustainable development.
