Abstract

Fiber-reinforced concrete (FRC) has been extensively studied as a solution to the fundamental limitations of conventional concrete, such as high brittleness, low tensile strength, and poor crack resistance. Furthermore, the thermal properties of FRC have increasingly drawn scholarly attention. Several studies have indicated that the incorporation of fibers can influence the development and distribution of temperature within the concrete mass, thereby affecting cement hydration and the overall quality of the final structure. However, the effectiveness of different fiber types and the relationship between their thermal properties and the concrete matrix remain subjects of ongoing debate. This paper reviews, analyzes, and compares existing studies on the influence of various fiber types on the thermal behavior of FRC, providing a scientific basis for material selection and construction process optimization.
