Abstract

Sea dykes play an essentialy important role in disaster prevention. Sea dyke is one of the important constructions that always are noted at the highest level of protection. Therefore, these protections and improving the quality of sea dykes is considered a particularly important task. Sea dykes are directly affected by sea waves, during the rainy and stormy season in particular, so many segments of Dyke Sea have been degraded and decreased effective coastal protection, easily eroded, broken, and sea water intruding inland, causing cause a lot of damage. The phenomenon of coastal erosion has caused serious socio-economic consequences such as loss of residential land, threatened to destroy sea-dyke works, separate traffic routes. In addition, it also causes social consequences for coastal communites. To reduce the above consequences and to ensure the stability of sea-dyke works, synchronous and long-term strategic solutions is required. Therefore, the research topic " Research the risks of natural disasters causing damage to shore-reinforced sea dikes and propose some solutions to promptly repair damaged shore-reinforced sea dikes during storms in Vietnam " is very urgent. That is also the goal of this article.
