Solutions to improve the quality of unburnt concrete brick walls

Abstract

Unburnt concrete bricks have been studied a lot in Vietnam to replace fired clay bricks, which is effective in both economic and environmental terms. However, the reality shows that the use of unburnt bricks in construction works also has certain limitations, the most common of which is the phenomenon of cracked and permeable walls. In this article, the actual situation, causes of cracking and seepage of unburnt concrete brick walls in construction works have been pointed out, from there, proposing solutions to improve the quality of unburnt concrete brick walls. The causes of wall cracking and the effectiveness of solutions to improve the quality of unburnt brick walls are verified by numerical simulation in Abaqus software.
