Abstract

The university urban area is a highly developed model of advanced education in several countries around the world. It undertakes the educational function while responding to the basic needs of the community. Universities nowadays tend to expand in size, or merge between universities to form clusters of universities about the size of a city. In Vietnam, the model of university urbanism also began to take shape such as Thu Duc University Village, Vo Truong Toan University Urban... Oxford University, University of Tsukuba... or domestic university urban projects such as Hanoi National University, Danang University, Ho Chi Minh City National University... Presentation about the process of formation as well as the development orientation of a number of current university towns.
