Experience in digital economic development of some east asian countries and Reference lessons for Vietnam

Abstract

In the ASEAN region, Vietnam has had the fastest growing digital economy in recent years, and is expected to maintain this position until 2025. However, in this field, Vietnam is also facing with a lot of challenges. Referencing the successful experiences of some East Asian countries will help Vietnam find solutions to overcome the above limitations in planning and developing its digital economy. In addition to generalizing some basic features of the concept of Digital Economy and current digital economic development in the world, the article also analyzes in quite detail the policies and current situation of digital economic development in countries of East Asia such as Korea, China and Singapore. From there, the author has drawn a number of useful reference lessons to help Vietnam perfect its digital economy development policy in the future.
