Publishing standards

1.    Legal and ethical responsibility
Authors bear full legal responsibility before the law, the Journal’s leadership, and the University’s administration for the content, quality, legality, and copyright compliance of their manuscripts.
2.    Authorship and order of authors
The order of authors’ names must be arranged in accordance with established regulations, with authorship positions reflecting the respective contributions to the published work. The submitting author is responsible for the accuracy of the authorship order and the inclusion of all co-authors.
3.    Compliance with journal regulations
Submitting authors are required to comply fully with the Journal’s submission guidelines (Appendices PL.V1 and PL.A2) and to revise and finalize their manuscripts in accordance with the comments and requirements of reviewers, the Editorial Board, and the Editorial Council.
4.    Exclusive submission and confidentiality
Authors must not submit the manuscript to another journal while it is under consideration by the Editorial Board and before a final editorial decision has been made. Authors are responsible for any cases of duplicate or redundant publication (if applicable). Authors must not disclose identifying information within the manuscript and must not contact reviewers during the editorial and peer review process.
5.    Manuscript withdrawal and amendment
Authors have the right to withdraw their manuscript or to supplement and amend manuscript information within one week from the date the Editorial Office receives the submission.
6.    Academic recognition and workload credit
Articles authored or co-authored and published in the Journal of Science of Thu Dau Mot University are recognized as part of the standard academic workload in accordance with the University’s regulations on professional activities of academic staff, and are eligible for research credit in scientific evaluation and in the assessment for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor, in disciplines recognized by the National Council for Professorship Titles.
7.    Copyright and usage rights
Authors warrant that their manuscripts are original works and do not infringe upon copyright or related rights; that all third-party data, images, tables, instruments, software, or materials have been properly authorized and fully cited. Upon acceptance, authors grant the Journal a non-exclusive license to edit, publish (in print and electronic formats), archive, digitize, disseminate, cite, and promote the article through the Journal’s platforms. Any subsequent reproduction or republication must clearly acknowledge the Journal as the place of first publication and comply with the Journal’s regulations.
8.    Declaration of artificial intelligence (AI) use
If AI tools are used in writing, translation, language editing, data processing, or the creation of images/figures, authors must clearly disclose such use (including the name of the tool, purpose, and scope) in the submission materials. AI tools must not be listed as authors. Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, citation practices, and data sources of the manuscript, and must not use AI to fabricate data, results, or references, or to reproduce copyrighted content. The Editorial Office reserves the right to request clarification and supporting evidence when necessary.
