Socialist-oriented development thought in Vietnam of the General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Abstract: When addressing the issue of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam in the current period, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong often uses three phrases: ''The period of transition to socialism,'' ''Socialist-oriented development,'' and ''The new development period.'' Recently, the phrase ''Socialist-oriented development'' has been used more frequently by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Socialist-oriented development refers to the gradual process of building socialism in Vietnam. ''Moving up in a socialist-oriented manner is a process of continually consolidating, enhancing, and promoting socialist factors so that these factors increasingly dominate, prevail, and succeed.''
