Abstract: This article emphasizes the important role of intellectuals in Ho Chi Minh City in promoting sustainable development, especially as the country is strongly advancing in the era of renewal and international integration. As the largest economic center in the country, the intellectual workforce in the city is a key force in building strategies for innovation, creativity, and high-tech application, training human resources, social monitoring, cultural development, and fostering international integration. In the face of challenges from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and globalization, the article proposes solutions to further promote the role and potential of intellectuals in the development of Ho Chi Minh City today. Through this, it affirms the city's position as the national center of innovation, contributing to the realization of the goal "Prosperous people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization" in the new era of the nation's advancement.
