Abstract

Article 292 of the 2005 Commercial Law prescribes sanctions against commercial contract violations; in which, sanctions for fines for breaches and compensation for damages are common ones that regularly applied in cases the parties in the commercial contract violate their obligations. The paper focuses on analyzing the legal status and the relationship between these two sanctions, thereby proposes some recommendations to improve the law about this matter.
