Continue to complete Vietnamese laws on wildlife protection under the requirements for implementation of international treaties

Abstract

The world today is witnessing the decline and extinction of many wildlife animals. The reasons are not only the impact of nature but also illegal exploitation, hunting, trade and consumption of wildlife which is extremely complicated, seriously reducing the number of species and destroying biodiversity. Due to the huge profits from wildlife trading, the offenders still take advantage of legal gaps, leading to the rapid increasing of illegal wildlife trade in Vietnam. Therefore, perfecting the law on wildlife protection is always an urgent requirement, playing a fundamental role, contributing to the effective implementation of international treaties to which Vietnam is a member.
