STUDY ON SOIL COMPOSITION AND APPLICATION OF GIS TO SET UP LAND MAPPING UNIT FOR ORANGE PLANTING IN TRUNG THANH COMMUNE, VI XUYEN DISTRICT, HA GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

Study of soil composition and application of GIS to set up a land mapping unit for orange planting was implemented in Trung Thanh commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province. The results shown that 6 decentralization criterias for setting up land mapping unit were indicated. There  29 LMUs were set with 677 parcels in total 1234.58 ha agricultural production land. The largest area is LMU29 with 98.65 ha (1.75%) and the smallest area was LMU22 with 11.48 ha (0.20%). This LMU is sciencetific database for local government develop the orange planting in the current and the future of Trung Thanh commune.
