THE BEHAVIOURAL CULTURE OF INHABITANT IN THE TRADITIONAL VILLAGES OF HA CHAU CANTON, PHU BINH DISTRICT, THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE THROUGH VILLAGE CONVENTIONS IN 1942
Abstract
To survey traditional culture and create experiences which is used in construction of new rural cultural life nowadays, we research human behaviour towards social community in traditional villages of Ha Chau canton, Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province. The main material of the research is village conventions of Ha Chau canton which were published in 1942. Local customs and rituals, existing for many generations, were reflected in village conventions of Ha Chau canton that we use to restore moral standards in behavioural culture of social community. The results of the research showed that inhabitant, who lived in villages of Ha Chau canton, had a harmonious lifestyle. They used reconcilement as dispute resolution method, helped each other in their life and behaved appropriately in one's duty. Therefore, the village convention played a role “as the village law” in creating and maintaining good traditional cultural values in Ha Chau canton.
