ASSESSMENT OF THE POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF HOMESTAY TOURISM WITH RELIC SITES IN PHU XUYEN COMMUNE, DAI TU DISTRICT, THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the potential of homestay tourism development associated with relic sited in Phu Xuyen commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province. Field surveys and questionnaires were used to collect data.. Research results show that Phu Xuyen commune, Dai Tu district have many famous relic sites such as Eight-roof house, Dai pagoda, Doc Vai Cay, Cau Tra or tourist attractions such as Ba Doi landscape, Vai Banh lake, Dat Dang waterfall,... The results of the field survey showed that there were 19 households willing to participate in the development of homestay tourism. Therefore, it is possible to see the potential of homestay tourism development near these locations to increase people’s income, improve people's lives and develop relic sites to attract more tourists to visit and explore the local attractions, cultural values, landscape and people in Phu Xuyen commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province more widely.
