THE PARTY OF LAI CHAU CITY (LAI CHAU PROVINCE)’S LEADERSHIP TO TOURISM ECONOMY DEVELOPMENT FROM 2015 TO 2020

Abstract

Tourism is currently one of the key economic sectors of the country, playing an important role in the development of the country. In that general context, the Party Committee of Lai Chau city, on the basis of thoroughly grasping the policy of the Party Central Committee and the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, closely following the characteristics and resources of tourism development of the locality, has led the city to develop tourism economy, create driving force for socio-economic development. The study is based on the collected documents and materials, through the methods of document research and field research, analysis and synthesis, in order to clarify the guidelines, as well as the guiding process of the Party Committee of Lai Chau city in tourism economic development and the results achieved in the period 2015 - 2020. Thereby, the study reflects the leadership role of the Party Committee in the city's economic and tourism development. The obtained results are the basis for the Party Committee of Lai Chau city to have coherent policies in promoting the development of the local tourism economy in the next period.
