EDUCATING TRADITIONAL CULTURAL VALUES FOR TAY ETHNIC STUDENTS THROUGH TAY FOLK SONGS
Abstract
Educating traditional cultural values for Tay ethnic students through Tay folk songs is an important content to contribute to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity and good traditional cultural values of Tay ethnic in Vietnam. In this research, we use interdisciplinary research methods and descriptive methods, text analysis methods, semantic analysis methods... to have comments and assessments to clarify the research problem. From the results of analyzing the educational meaning of communication culture, behavior and education of customs and traditions of the three genres of luon, quan lang and then in Tay folk songs, we find that there are many good values in Tay folk songs which need to be handed down to the younger generation, especially Tay ethnic students. Thereby, we propose some measures to improve the effectiveness of educating traditional cultural values for Tay ethnic students through Tay folk songs.
