HOẠT ĐỘNG BẢO VỆ CHỦ QUYỀN BIỂN, ĐẢO NAM KỲ DƯỚI THỜI VUA MINH MẠNG (1820 - 1841)

Những hoạt động bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo ở vùng biển phía Nam của vua Minh Mạng (1820 – 1841) đã góp phần quan trọng vào việc đảm bảo an ninh hàng hải và chủ quyền biển, đảo Nam Kỳ. Mục đích của bài báo này là phân tích các nhân tố về vị trí chiến lược của vùng đất Nam Kỳ, bối cảnh Đông Nam Á đã tác động đến chính sách bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Nam Kỳ và tiếp tục làm rõ những đóng góp của triều Nguyễn trong hoạt động bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Nam Kỳ dưới thời vua Minh Mạng. Thông qua việc sử dụng phương pháp lịch sử và phương pháp logic kết hợp phân tích các nguồn tài liệu lưu trữ, kết quả nghiên cứu làm sáng tỏ những vấn đề sau: (1) sự tác động từ vị trí chiến lược của biển, đảo Nam Kỳ và bối cảnh khu vực trong nửa đầu thế kỷ XIX đến việc tổ chức bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Nam Kỳ của Đại Nam; (2) các hoạt động bảo vệ chủ quyền diễn ra thường xuyên và được quy định nghiêm ngặt thông qua các chỉ dụ của vua Minh Mạng. Kết quả nghiên cứu của bài báo góp phần ghi nhận lại quá trình bảo vệ chủ quyền của các bậc tiền nhân, phát huy giá trị tích cực trong sự nghiệp xây dựng và bảo vệ chủ quyền biển, đảo Việt Nam hiện nay.Lượt tải
