This study presents a relatively simple method for synthesizing carbon nanotube/silicon nanoparticle (CNTs/Si) composites. Specifically, CNTs are acid-functionalized to create -COOH groups, and then the material is formed through self-assembly in solution and heat treatment (annealing). The results show that, thanks to the surface functionalization process, the dispersion ability of CNTs is improved, and the interphase interaction with silicon nanoparticles is also enhanced. Structural and morphological analysis shows that Si nanoparticles are attached and distributed fairly evenly on the conductive network of CNTs. Electrochemical measurements show that the CNTs/Si composite material achieves higher reversible capacity, better cycle stability, and superior high-speed performance compared to pure Si. This improvement can be explained by the formation of a conductive carbon nanotube network, which reduces the effect of volume expansion and facilitates electron transport. This result demonstrates a relatively simple and scalable approach to designing high-performance silicon-based anode materials.Downloads
