This research aimed to investigate the impact of ChatGPT on vocabulary learning among non-English major students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry. A mixed-methods design was employed. The data collection methods used were pre-test, post-test, and interviews. The research participants used in this research were divided into two groups: experimental group and control group. Pre-test and post-test were used to assess the improvement in vocabulary learning among students. Interviews were conducted to explore the perceptions about ChatGPT in vocabulary learning. The results from quantitative data showed that the experimental group had more significant improvement in vocabulary learning than the control group, especially in productive vocabulary. On the other hand, the results from qualitative data showed positive comments from students on the advantages of ChatGPT in vocabulary learning. From this research, ChatGPT is found to be a useful tool to improve vocabulary learning among students.Downloads
