Abstract

Continuing the tradition of “For the people” drawn from the history of building and defending the country, since the 6th Congress, the idea of ​​“People are the root” has been affirmed as a vital lesson of the cause of Renovation. Since then, every Party Congress has reiterated this lesson, emphasizing both the idea of ​​People as the “Center” and “Subject” and the principle of “People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit”. The article explores the causes of prosperity and decline of feudal dynasties in Vietnam and finds that the strength of the nation is always associated with the people. Without exception, the glorious pages in the history of fighting against foreign invaders, building the country, etc. are all periods when the people are in agreement, the people’s strength is lenient, people’s rights are respected, people’s voices are listened to; all the people’s insecurities, worries, injustices, etc., have ways to be resolved.
