Motherhood in the Catholic philosophy of life

Abstract

Maternal love in Catholic philosophy carries many good moral values, affirming the important contribution of mothers in the process of giving birth and raising children. Catholic philosophy also emphasizes the respect, honor, care and obedience of children towards their mothers. This article analyzes the content of Catholic views on maternal love through the study of the Bible, the views of some theologians, some popes, the Second Vatican Council and the teachings of the Catholic Church. From there, it contributes to clarifying the moral values of Catholicism
