Translating religious discourse in the era of artificial intelligence and the translator’s role

Abstract

This article highlights the challenges of translating religious texts using machine translation in the age of advanced artificial intelligence, particularly the risk of simplification, distortion of meaning, and loss of spiritual and cultural depth. At the same time, it affirms the central and irreplaceable role of translators in preserving, transmitting, and recreating spiritual values, ensuring the authenticity and sacredness of religious scriptures.
