Abstract

For preschool education, developing pre-literacy capacity for 5-6 year old preschool children is very necessary and important. For preschool children who are ethnic minorities, Vietnamese plays the role of a second language. Therefore, activities to develop preliteracy capacity in Vietnamese for children are even more important. To clarify the current status of activities to develop pre-literacy capacity in Vietnamese for 5-6 year old preschool children who are ethnic minorities in the Tay Bac of Vietnam, we conducted a survey in Son La and Dien Bien provinces for two groups of children, the Thai and Mong ethnic groups. The results of the survey partly clearly reflect the current status of activities to develop pre-literacy capacity in Vietnamese for preschool children of ethnic minorities in the Tay Bac region
