DETERMINATION OF TOTAL PHENOLIC CONTENT IN SOME PLANT SAMPLE COLLECTED IN SON LA BY UV–VIS SPECTROMETRY

Authors

Abstract

Total polyphenol content in some plant samples collected in Son La including: Cleistocalyx operculatus leaves, Celastrus hindsii leaves, tea leaves, papaya leaves and perilla leaves was quantified by the UV-Vis method using Folin - reagent. Ciocalteu. The reaction mixture absorbs maximum at wavelength 757 nm. The optimal polyphenol extraction process is when using the solvent methanol: water (60:40, v/v), ultrasound with a capacity of 70%Wmax. Precision, accuracy, LOD and LOQ values ensured analytical requirements.
