NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF STUDENTS 11-14 YEARS OLD, CHU VAN AN PRIMARY, SECONDARY & HIGH SCHOOL, TAY BAC UNIVERSITY IN 2023

Abstract

A cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the nutritional status of junior high school students at Chu Van An Primary, Secondary & High School, Tay Bac University, in 2023. A total of 330 students aged 11-14 years were selected to participate in the research. Data on indicators such as age, gender, weight, and height were collected. The BMI Z-score for age (BAZ) was used to assess the prevalence of malnutrition, overweight, and obesity among the students. The research results show that 3.9% of students are underweight, 7.3% are overweight, and the remaining 88.8% have a normal nutritional status. The nutritional status of students in our study is relatively good, although they still face a double burden of nutrition.
