THE REALITY OF LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AT TAY BAC UNIVERSITY THROUGH EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF CLASS TIME

Abstract

Life skills are basic mental or psychological skills, social skills that help individuals survive and adapt in life. The study conducted a survey on 50 lecturers, 380 students, the obtained results showed that the level and expression of life skills of Tay Bac University’ students are currently only at an average level such as: Self-recognition skills (Mean=1.56), goal-setting skills (Mean =1.52), decision-making skills (Mean =1.52),... The article correctly assessed the reality of life skills education for students in Tay Bac University, identified the causes affecting the life skills education for students. From there, propose measures to organize appropriate forms of educational activities outside of class time in order to improve the effectiveness of life skills education for students of Tay Bac University.
