Improve efficiency of vegetable and fruit processing: Case study at dong giao foodstuff export joint stock company
Abstract
Fruit and vegetable processing promotes the development of commodity agriculture, the growth in agricultural production, the fruit and vegetable processing industry has significant progress. In recent, the country has formed and developed a system of processing and preserving agricultural products linked to material areas. The fruit and vegetable processing industry contributes to increasing export value and create jobs, increase income for workers. The Government has issued many policies and projects to encourage investment in developing industrial systems for processing and preserving fruits and vegetables, however, processed fruits and vegetables still account for a small proportion of production and export. Fruit and vegetable processing factories are still not allocated appropriately to fruit and vegetable production in the regions. The processing technology of some factories is still outdated and limited capacity. From the analysis of the current situation of fruit and vegetable processing at Dong Giao Foodstuff Export Joint Stock Company, the article proposes some solutions to improve the efficiency of fruit and vegetable processing at Dong Giao Foodstuff Export Joint Stock Company in particular and fruit and vegetable processing units in general.
