AbstractIndustrial solid waste (ISW) management helps optimize the recycling and reuse of materials, thereby reducing environmental pressure and supporting the development of a circular economy. However, in many firms operating in industrial parks, compliance with regulations on the classification, collection, and storage of ISW remains limited and inconsistent. This study aims to identify the institutional factors that encourage firms to comply with ISW management and collection requirements in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong. The research employs a quantitative approach with 173 survey questionnaires collected from firms currently operating in the park. Based on Institutional Theory, the research model focuses on three types of pressures: coercive, mimetic, and normative. The results indicate that institutional factors positively influence source separation and collection activities, thereby improving firms’ compliance and overall ISW management performance. The findings provide practical implications for regulators and industrial park management authorities in strengthening monitoring mechanisms, promoting the diffusion of best practices, and reinforcing environmental compliance across industrial supply chains in Hai Phong. Keywords: Coercive, mimetic, normative, environmental compliance, industrial solid waste management, source separation and collection, circular economy.
