Accelerating industrialization and modernization associates with developing knowledge economy

Abstract

    Industrialization and modernization in Vietnam were determined from the 3rd Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (September 1960). Since then, through many congresses, the Communist Party of Vietnam has added and emphasized some new points on the contents and objectives of the industrialization process in our country to suit the development process of the country and the world as well. Especially, at present, the rapid development of science and technology and the trend of globalization have created opportunities and challenges for our country. Hence, accelerating industrialization and modernization associated with the development of the knowledge economy under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam is necessary and meaningful.
