Some factors related to the quality of life of type 2 diabetes patients treated as outpatients at the Tay Nguyen General Hospital
Abstract
Objectives: Describe some factors related to the quality of life of type 2 diabetes patients treated as outpatients at the Tay Nguyen General Hospital. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study was implemented among 323 type 2 diabetes patients treated at the Tay Nguyen General Hospital from March 11, 2024 to May 31, 2024, using the WHOQOL-BREF toolkit to assess patients’ quality of life. Results: The study determined that there was no relationship between the following factors: ethnicity (OR = 1.123; 95%CI: 0.31-4.06), duration of illness (OR = 1.46; 95%CI: 0.94-2.28), while,marital status (OR = 8.66; 95%CI: 1.11-67.9; age factor (OR = 0.4; 95%CI: 0.19-0.86) and occupational factor (OR = 0,55; 95%CI: 0,33-0,92) were related to the quality of life of type 2 diabetes patients treated as outpatients at the Tay Nguyen General Hospital. Conclusion: Type 2 diabetic patients living alone and with long-term treatment need to improve their knowledge and promote health education interventions to improve their quality of life
