Learning motivation of nursing students at Dak Lak Medical College and related factors

Abstract

Objectives: Description of learning motivation of nursing students at Dak Lak Medical College and some related factors. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study on 164 nursing students studying in the second and third years from November 2023 to March 2024 at Dak Lak Medical College. Results: The rate of nursing students at Dak Lak Medical College with good learning motivation in the study was 66.4%. Factors related to learning motivation were statistically significant, including: Passion and correct perception of the major, learning outcomes and training program. Conclusion: The rate of students with good learning motivation was average. The school needs to build a more practical training program in the direction of enhancing practical knowledge, practice, and needs to be linked to social needs. There must be a connection with career orientation in the training industry. This will help students have more appropriate learning motivation during the learning process
