Anxiety among diabetic patient: A concept analysis
Abstract
Anxiety is more 2.5 times in diabetic patient than non-diabetic patient. There is currently no precise and clear definition of anxiety in this subject. Objective: To analyze the concept of anxiety in people with diabetes. Method: The Walker and Avant methods was applied, the document search was done through three databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, Google. Results: By reference to the document, the attributes of anxiety in the patient include: self-discomfort, the second negative thoughts, uncertainty about the future, the third physical and mental reactions are unadapted. The premise of the first concern is genetic. Then there’s the psychological factor, eventually the stressful events in life. The consequences of anxiety are both positive and negative. Conclusion: The understanding of anxiety through this conceptual analysis helps nurses and physicians to early detection anxieties in the sick, improve the quality of care, improve quality of life for patient
