EVALUATION THE CURRICULUM OF NAM DINH UNIVERSITY OF NURSING THROUGH THE FEEDBACK OF HOSPITALS AND STUDENTS IN 2017
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the necessity and application of the curriculum in NamDinh University of Nursing through the feedback of hospitals and students in 2017. Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted during September 2016 to May 2017.Collecting data from 16 of the university clinical hospitals and 245 students random selected from 2,031 students of full-time study in the university. Results: All contents of curiculum were evaluated highly necessary by 70% - 80% of the responses and well applied by 50% - 60% of the responses. Especially, the professional skills of standard outcome received 86,7% and 53,3% responses for necessity and application, respectively. However, 40% of the responses said skills of communication and foreign language use were not good. Positive feedback gained from almost all of students related to intensive role of learning consultants, good material facillities, equipment supplies for student’s learning and practice with 46.9%, 68.6%, and 53.9% of responses. Conclusion: the current curiculum of NamDinh University of Nursing had appreciation form hospitals including competency outcomes, objectives, contents and soft skills.
