Abstract

Objective: To change knowledge the antivirus drugs adherence after health education interventions on out-patient with chronic hepatitis B in the Nam Dinh General Hospital. Method: The intervention study was conducted from 3/2019 to 11/2019 on 50 patients diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B virus who came for examination and treatment at the Out-patient Clinic of Nam Dinh General Hospital. Subjects were directly interviewed by pre-designed questionnaires including 22 questions, with a maximum of 34 correct ideas, each with 1 point, knowledge at the level of achieving when answering correctly ≥ 50% of the ≥ 17 points. Results: The average score of knowledge of patients participating in the pre-intervention study was 13.72 ± 6.1 out of the total 34 points of this scale, after the intervention was 30.34 ± 2.4. Conclusion: General knowledge of patients about adherence to treatment with chronic hepatitis B antiviral drugs has changed significantly, specifically patients have a better understanding of adherence to antiviral therapy with post-intervention scores. is 30.34 ± 2.4.
