Changing knowledge for prevention of recentional disease in people with health education after health education in Nam Dinh province Hospital

Abstract

Objectives: To determine the current state of knowledge about the prevention of recurrent stones in patients after kidney stone surgery at the Department of Surgery and Urology of Nam Dinh General Hospital. Objects and research.

Methods: Interventional Research on 102 patients with kidney stone surgery at the Department of Surgery and Urology of Nam Dinh General Hospital.

Results: Average score of knowledge on diet and drinking to prevent recurrence of kidney stones was 2.47 ± 1.38, after intervention is 5.74 ± 1.58. Average score of knowledge about hygiene regime and physical training, preventive medicine, labor and re-examination 3.09 ± 1.15, after intervention is 5.44 ± 0.83. Average score of knowledge about relapse prevention of stones in patients is 8.54 ± 3.15 (out of 20 points), after intervention is 16.85 ± 3.32.

Conclusion: Research results show that patients’ knowledge of disease prevention before intervention is still limited. After health education, patients’ knowledge about disease prevention has changed markedly
